Meet Nathan:
Whatever you do, do with all of your heart, as for God and not for man.
My name is Nathan Paulus and I have been playing soccer since I can remember. I grew up with sub par coaching throughout various community leagues and well meaning parents, but I always had a love for the sport. In high school I was blessed with a world class coach from Romania, who took the time to explain the game, teach me proper technique, show me how to evaluate opponents, utilize natural strengths, and foster a life long love for the game. By graduation I was being offered soccer scholarships.
Since then I have had the blessing of coaching club teams (in Ohio and Kansas), mentored many players on their soccer journey, have worked as a club trainer, and currently continue organize and lead soccer camps and tournaments in the US, Kenya, Northern Ireland. God has taken a sport I enjoyed and has made it a passion, giving me the opportunity to use soccer as a way to invest in and develop players, transform communities, and hopefully even change the world.
Jesus is my Lord, I serve and follow him first, and soccer is a gift he has given me to invest in others and share his love.
I’ve been married to my amazing wife (Miranda) for 16 years. Our son (Micaiah) is 9, and our daughter (Ivy) is 20.
“Coach Nate has to this day been not only one of the best coaches I have ever head, but also spiritual influences in my life. On the field, Coach Nate paved the way for our team in discipline and teamwork, and pushed us to strive to be our best. His coaching was fun, technical, and built with purpose. Off the field he instilled in us the core value of the game and a reminder that we were playing for God’s glory. He combines both victory and God as we cannot have one without the other. I strive as a coach now, to give back to my players what I received from Coach Nate. His influence spiritually and athletically has truly impacted my entire life.”

“Nathan pushed me to work harder, work smarter and never give up, even in moments when I doubted myself. Through his words and dedication, Nathan has helped me grow both as a person and as a woman of Christ. He constantly reminded me that our true strength comes from the Lord, and that the game of soccer can be a powerful platform to honor Him. He taught me how to sharpen my footwork and stay mentally strong both on and off the field. Nathan reminded me to play with intention, to compete with character, and to glorify God in all that I do.”

“Nate is very patient and knowledgeable, and helped me grow very quickly when I was a new player. He does a great job walking the line between critique and encouragement in order to build both skill and confidence. He also balances fun and work so that players enjoy practice but also develop as players at the same time. I had a wonderful time playing for Nate.”
